She will take you on an a VOYAGE of DISCOVERY! She will lift your spirits to the HEIGHEST HEIGHTS! She will expand your mind and you will live a RICH, HEALTHY and FULL LIFE! Are you ready to be ROMANCED with the bluest sky, the cool green of coconut palms, brilliant white sandy beaches and sparkling CLEAR AQUA LAGOONS? For this is the scene that awaits your first landing on a CORAL ISLAND. The scent of Frangipani on the warm sea breeze makes you never want to leave. But you can stay awhile! And what's more, stay in perfect COMFORT and STYLE! You can enjoy ICE IN YOUR PINA COLADA from a freezer that's quite happy to run for a few days on solar energy (without you even having to be onboard like most others). Your fresh water is made at a VERY GENEROUS 150 litres/hour – and isn't it great that you don't have to go and cart it in jerry cans? You will also enjoy other little luxuries to save straining your back like an electric windlass and engine-driven anchorwash, and everyone will love the invertor, which is large enough to run a blender, computer, hairdryer and what not. FREEDOM can be found in a PROVEN WORLD CRUISING YACHT that can be sailed singlehandedly. She's been so well made that she's often mistaken for fibreglass, yet you and your crew will have COMPLETE CONFIDENCE IN ANY WEATHER, in the integrity and strength of her round-bilged steel hull, built to specification. There will be many times when you thank yourself for the foresight of investing in steel. Especially navigating around coral reefs! You will SLEEP WELL knowing that YOU HAVE ALL the safety gear, and look how many THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS you have SAVED by not having to pay for the installation of any of these 'extras'...... Emergency steering system, Galerider drogue, separate trisail track and quality Stalock rigging fittings, HF radio, freezer, to name but a few! The EXCITEMENT you'll feel the first time you catch a 1.5m mahi-mahi! You'll be glad then, you can engage either the autopilot or windvane so that it leaves your hands free to land the monster! Just think, you can fish ANYTIME YOU WANT, right off the back deck! Or hop in the dinghy and pop out to UNTOUCHED snorkelling, diving, crayfishing and fishing spots! All the gear is READY FOR YOU. You will be awed to see the most diverse and incredibly colourful coral reefs with such an ABUNDANCE OF FANTASTIC FISHLIFE awaiting your viewing pleasure! You will be ASTOUNDED! And...dinner is no problem! The most amazing thing? FREEDOM is so AFFORDABLE! Anyone that currently owns their own house can probably afford to buy her AND buy a flat from which the rent is used to supplement their cruising income. Yes, it will be scary and maybe sad, to part with the job and the house and swap them both for an ENDLESS HORIZON and a sky FULL OF STARS but IT HAS BEEN DONE BY MANY who don't even have a house to swap! And the reward is a thousand new beautiful memories EVERY DAY, making good friends, and having likeminded free spirits for your neighbours. Over the course of ten years, we, and ALL those we have met cruising say “We wished we'd done it sooner!” BECAUSE WHEN YOU'RE ACTUALLY DOING IT you realise how you could have done it sooner as IT'S SO EASY! Living costs decrease dramatically – you have NO BILLS! In 10 years we have cruised in 10 countries over 30,000 nm. Over that time our maintenance costs to keep the boat in a very comfortable and seaworthy condition, (the owner is a MARINE ENGINEER) along with diesel, dinghy fuel and gas, amount to $11 AUD per day! Luckily there'll be no need for you to spend any money for equipment as she has ALL THE GEAR YOU NEED to take you on the most WONDERFUL JOURNEY OF YOUR LIFE! Anchorages are FREE! Your income can be a LOT less than living on land yet you will LIVE THE LIFE OF A MILLIONAIRE! What are you waiting for? There are many retired couples out there cruising but I can assure you it's easier when you have youth's physical energy on your side! Every cruiser will urge you: DON'T LEAVE IT TOO LATE! GO NOW! Are you ready for EXTRAORDINARY ADVENTURES? To drink kava with VILLAGE CHIEFS? What about the voyages of MYSTERY in UNCHARTED WATERS? How does lazing about in ISLAND RESORTS, cocktail in hand, for yet another CHANGE OF SCENE sound? Isn't it time you LOOKED at REAL WORLD CRUISING BOATS that are EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY? You will find many world cruisers with genuine reasons to part with their dreamships, must do so in South East Asia. Some, like us, are starting the adventure of a new dream. The key to YOUR FREEDOM is waiting here. HULL:
Hand laid fiberglass mat and woven roving. Each layer is impregnated with resin and cured. Continuous longitudinal stringers provide support for the Hull shell The raised area across the centerline is a 3" thick solid fiberglass layup that carries the loads imposed by the Keel.

Bulkheads are bonded on both sides to the shell and stringers with 1/4" thick fiberglass layups. The full bulkheads give the Hull tremendous stiffness and strength. Individual Fiberglass liners fit between the bulkheads forming the floors, berths, seats & cabinetry. Liners bond to the hull and bolt to the bulkheads to add greatly to the structural integrity of the boat. Hull and deck are extremely strong, with extra reinforcement at high stress points: around chainplates, Rudder fittings, the Mast base, etc. Hull and deck are joined with 3/8" S/S bolts on 4" centers. The joining flange is external eliminating a potential source of leaks. Mast steps on a transverse solid fiberglass Hull beam, 20" wide and 3" thick, including the Hull. This beam also supports the forward end of the Keel, extending sideways for chainplate loads. The 65 has continuous longitudinal stringers supported by transverse bulkheads (at right angles to the stringers). 2 Water tight bulkheads: Fwd bulkhead at the rear of the anchor locker. Aft bulkhead is under the steering pedestal.

This beautiful boat has too many extras to list.

All competitors claim their boats will provide fast passages and virtually every boat can lay claim to an unusually long day’s run. The issue is how often they get these good rides. The MacGregor 65 will provide better speeds and incredibly long day’s runs in normal, everyday sailing conditions.
